LVKC's
Little Free Libraries
Literacy Volunteers of Kanawha County started our Little Free Library network with Habitat for Humanity.
The project is a “take a book, return a book” gathering place where neighbors share their favorite literature and stories. You can see a short video on how the project works by watching the video here.
LOCATIONS
We have libraries at the town hall in Chesapeake, West Washington Street, Charleston, First Presbyterian Church, Covenant House Food Pantry, and the North Charleston Community Center. The libraries are always open and available to anyone and everyone! Anyone is welcome to bring books, even if they don't take some.
Little Free Libraries are great for those who might have something getting in their way of picking up a book. We hope that this project helps promote literacy around our cities.
Thank you to everyone who helps maintain this important community resource!
